Laurel Parnell, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, internationally renowned, author and consultant, and trains professionals in the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is the author of four books, including the therapist's guide to EMDR: Tools and techniques for successful treatment, the transformation of Trauma: EMDR, EMDR in the treatment of adults abused as children, and channel In: A Step-by-Step Guide to Activating Your Healing Resources bilateral stimulation, as well as articles and a chapter in the book EMDR and was interviewed for television, radio and print media.
Parnell has trained thousands of clinicians in EMDR national and international level. She taught at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and was a member of the core faculty at John F. Kennedy University. A practicing meditation for over 30 years, she teaches EMDR from an integral perspective. She maintains a private practice in San Rafael, California.
