Camp beds to help keep them warm

Do you know how camp beds are important when you camp? The right choice will help you stay warm all night and help make your trip more enjoyable camping together.

There are different types of beds available. We've all seen those Wal-Mart could double as an extra bed for when you have guests to your home. The other end of the scale is of course the sleeping bag.

To me, these beds bulky Wal-Mart just are not the way to go. Of course, they are probably very comfortable, but to lug something that size in the camping trip I go on any measure is just too much work. I like to go smaller than that. They are a good choice when you're camping car and do not have to be mobile, but if you're hiking or paddling, then those are just too great.

Rollaways are a better choice than a cot real but they may be too great in my opinion. They are certainly more comfortable than sleeping on the rocks, but defintely the cost of taking up space in your pack and adding weight to your load.

My bed of choice is self-inflating mattresses and a number of reasons. First, they are light so they only add a marginal amount of weight to your pack. Then they can be stowed on the outside of your backpack and will remain compressed until you are finally ready to open and inflate. Last but not least, they provide excellent insulation value when you're on the track.

You can obviously choose camping bed you want, but here is the most important thing to consider when buying one. It is the insulation factor. The beds provide insulation because their mattresses are made of a moss, but not all foams are created equal. Some foam insulate very well and some less expensive just do not. You can not count on a sleeping bag to keep you warm at night when you sleep on the ground. This simply is not. Especially on cooler nights and sooner or later in the season. A sleeping bag should be used in conjunction with a floor mat, good for keeping you warm and you will be comfortable.

Some people choose to use an air mattress, but they are not really the best choice either. They do get to land, but often heavier your midsection will always touch the ground unless the mattress is too full, in this case, it is more comfortable. Besides all this, they do a lot of noise while you toss and turn and you do not sleep as a result.

A good sleeping pad self inflating will be both warm and comfortable and is also very sturdy so you can use it on many trips to come. They can be a bit expensive, but you do not need to buy the most expensive. There is always a provision which is half price and excellent quality. I bought several and know from experience that the best are made by Thermarest. There are others that are similar in construction and quality of the Thermarest mattress, but be sure to look for one where the foam core is physically attached to the wall. This keeps the lining of turning on itself when you move it.

There are some options for you here. It really depends on the type of camping you do. RV camping or camping car offers more space for large items such as cot Wal-Mart, where hiking and canoeing around the demand for self-inflating air mattresses. The important thing is that you get off the ground. This is the best way to stay warm and comfortable.
