Camping San Francisco

Posted on February 12, 2011.
Where can I go camping near San Francisco that will allow the Fire?

Most places in California are not allowing campfires due to fires throughout the state ...

NO WHERE!

I do not know where you can have a campfire, but I know at Ocean Beach, you can have a bonfire.

Be smart and do not have a fire.

I was camping at Point Reyes last weekend. The Rangers were allowing small controlled fire, but were willing to cancel the license of fire on a moment by moment basis.

We were not allowed to collect firewood. We had to make our own charcoal or use. The lights were only allowed on beaches. Being in a kayak, we have coal and wood were needed to pack the waste.

At present, a fire to happen. It is too damned dry there! My house is in a high risk area. We had 2 grass fires in the back last summer (arson). One came close to setting trees on fire. Had they increased, the neighborhood would be gone.
