Globetrotter Inn

Posted on February 11, 2011.
Which region is the most convenient place to stay? South Kensington, Hammersmith, or Russell Square?

I am an Asian gal backpack in London in June, and I had 3 choices hostels, but in different area of London, and I can not firgure where there or where is most convenient to move to London and all attractions. My choice of inns are the generator, and Meininger City Hostel Globetrotter Inns. Can anyone give me more info on this 3 inns and area of each hostel? Thank you for helping us.

Russell Square is great because it is near the Miuseum British, and there is a metro station nearby.

Of these 3, Russell Square is easily the closest to the "West End", which is the name for central London, where all the sights, bars, clubs and shops.

South Kensington is a lot smarter and more expensive and if you do not have much money, you could not afford to eat at around there, although it is right next to 3 or 4 of the greatest museums and most famous in Britain, if you want to go to the museum.

Do not stay in Hammersmith. Its ugliness, its a motorway, there are no tours visit there and it smells like gasoline vapors of all traffic. Avoid it.

Hope that helps

Yep I agree with the idea of Russell Square
