MarketplaceGreenwich Village HotelsPosted on November 19, 2010. Help me. What is the best place to stay in a hotel in New York? (See below)?
What is the best place to stay in a hotel in Greenwich Village, Chelsea, East Village, Lower Midtown, Upper West Side or Upper East Side)? And Why? I would recommend staying at a hotel on the east side of Midtown (East of Fifth Avenue) between 34th and 23rd. I say this because you are within walking distance of Times Square, Greenwich Village, Chelsea, East Village and Central Park, also near the subway, 6 which takes you downtown or uptown on the East Side. This area is safer, quieter and less crowded than Times Square, plus there are a wide variety of restaurants nearby in all price ranges and types of food - Depends what you want to do. You do not give us enough information to work with ... when are you going, what your dollar limit, how long and why did you go? There are many sections of Manhattan and all have their own best and worst qualities ... you need to go online and check to see where the things you want to see and experience are located and try to stay as close as possible to the action unless you have a supported transport. medium-sized town Manhattan, in the center of all activity. Very safe too. Head to http://www.iBtraveling.com and click a few links to their travel in search of best hotel prices. Then ... head to priceline and make their offer Midtown Manhattan hotel, say $ 130, like I did ... we were Mullieumn. (Sp) In Search Times Square. Absolutely beautiful. Also, before making the offer, make sure you click 3 or 4 star hotel star rating. You'll get a lot of things. As for taxis ... they can add up, but the way the sub / tube / metro is $ 7 per day and you can use the pass to go anywhere in New York. Good luck and have fun! I did.
