Visiting Japan for a month? with 3 of my friends.
We'll rent a house guest at a monthly rate, so firstly how this term we?
it will be 2 males and 1 female so that other 2br or something would suffice.
Also, how would we need to get as pocket money for the whole month?
We stand in Tokyo / Osaka / Kyoto areas.
Some recommended attractions / sanctuaries / restaurants etc.
Mainly just need the price per person for the whole month excluding airfare costs.
how exciting! me and my husband are planning to visit Japan next year for about 2 weeks. Have you looked in the Japan Rail Pass? rail is very expensive there and if you want to pass it, you should buy in the UK and to confirm once in Japan.
I think that eating out can be quite cheap in bars and noodle street vendors. there are of course loads of western fast food places if you'm really stuck.
can not really help on the hosting side of things, but im sure there will be many inns or cottages and apartments you can rent. prob need to do some research online.
for our trip, we expect 3 nights in Hong Kong first. then 4 nights in Tokyo. then validate the rail pass and travel to Kyoto for 2 or 3 nights. then really want to visit Hiroshima and the island nearby called Miyajima. supposed to be very good. Nara is also rcmd if you like temples and shrines.
Bring as much money as you can! Both Tokyo and Osaka are ranked among the top 10 most expensive to live in the world. In fact, Tokyo is ranked # 1! Kyoto is also expensive. However, there is much to do here and a really nice place to visit. I'd also suggest learning some basic phrases in Japanese.
Try searching for apartments in Tokyo.
Enjoy your trip!
