Top 10 beaches in Cornwall A selection of my favorite seaside haunts.
1) Porthmeor, St Ives, Cornwall
A large, wide sandy beach on the west side of St Ives. There are facilities near the beach, including the Tate Gallery St Ives.
2) Kynance Cove, Lizard, Cornwall
Kynance Cove is an inlet on the Lizard Peninsula in south-west of Cornwall. We know of it's sheer cliffs, white sand and turquoise water. It is now the National Trust.
3) Beach Harlyn, Padstow, Cornwall
One of the most beautiful beaches of the family in Cornwall, Harlyn Bay is a large and spacious beach popular with surfers and families. There are several access points to the beach.
4) Porthminster, St Ives, Cornwall
A large sandy beach ideal family on the southern edge of St Ives with a good selection of facilities.
5) Polridmouth, Nr Fowey, Cornwall
This beach is located just west of Fowey and is a good 20 minutes walk from the nearest parking. The beach, pronounced Pridmouth, appeals to those who like being away from the mob. The foot of the cove is very pretty, detached house and spent a lily pond. Some people never quite there.
6) Lantic Bay, Fowey, Cornwall
Lantic Bay is located in a sheltered cove of white sand. Excellent beach, but it may be difficult to find.
Helford Passage 7), No. Falmouth, Cornwall
Helford Passage has a lot to please - there's something really special about all the hidden coves and creeks. You can rent a boat outside The Ferry Boat Inn and take a trip up the river - it's a really nice way to spend an afternoon.
Perran Sands 8), Perranporth, Cornwall
A wide sandy beach near the village of Perranuthnoe.
9 Gyllyngvase Beach), Falmouth, Cornwall
A vast expanse of beach on the edge of Falmouth, parking, facilities and attractions are all nearby.
10) Hayle Towan Beach, Cornwall
This stretch of beach is what makes the most of Hayle 3 miles of golden sand. At low tide, Hayle beaches all combine to provide an impressive stretch of sand and despite facing a large caravan park to the beach is so great that it is rarely crowded.
