Best places to visit: Alaska

Welcome to Alaska or Aleut people say, Welcome to Alyeska, "the" mainland. "Yes, Alaska is certainly a great land. It is one of the largest states in the United States (almost big enough for fifth to the rest of the United States) and on the other hand the least populated regions of the United States (certainly it is a place to visit if you have overcrowded NY and LA).

Its one of two states in the U.S. who do not share a border with another state (second state being Hawaii). So what's so special about Alaska, is a good question to ask you if you have not visited Alaska.

It is a place that can be called "special" in this world. And why not, where else do you find the suppression wildlife, wonderful mountains, glaciers have carved valleys and steep, rocky coastline in one place. Yes, it's Alaska, the mainland.

Whether you are an avid wildlife lover or an adventure or simply trying to escape city life high in the company of your beloved do nothing, this state has much much to offer to all world. Just plan your vacation to choose the mode of travel to reach here (there are several ways that lead you there) and immerse yourself with the breathtaking beauty of nature.

Do not rush with less number of days in that state, instead plan your vacation so you can explore and enrich all the scenic spots here. There are many travel planners who can help you with a visit to Alaska and can plan things for you with the convenience good. Obviously in a matter of 12-15 days, you can see all the hot spots in this region.

Reaching here is another fun part, you can take a cruise (believe me it's an experience you will not forget) that offers the opportunity to see the Inside Passage, Gulf of Alaska, Glacier viewing tide and the port cities of the South East.

Another advantage would be, if you combine it with the visit of the land. In this case, land based tour gives you the chance to visit Denali National Park, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and other inland destinations. Together, they add to the experience more complete. You could very well happen here by rail.

Over the past two decades, this state has seen a boost in tourism that led to the increasing number of hotels and lodges in this area. But do not count on the number of hotels and be sure to get reservations at this time.

This area sees millions of tourist visitors each year and sometimes it is really difficult to find hotels or guesthouses. Instead of making your reservations in advance using the website or helpline hotels if you are not going through any tour planner (in this case the tour planner reservations for hotels and lodges).

There are many good hotels to meet different budgets in this region. Some hotels are recommended McKinley Village Lodge, Denali Cabin, Motel North Sky, North Face Lodge all in Denali National Park and Comfort Inn, Diamond Center Hotel, Hotel Captain Cook all Anchorage, Fairbanks Wedgwood stations, etc.

In all that you can find many hotels here, but you should read the reviews before choosing one. See that the hotel you have chosen is within your budget and gives you the scope for picturesque destinations. Hotels here provide a good service and many amenities. Make your reservations before arriving there.
