Ko Tao

Hello what is the best place to visit Thailand for New Year We may be one of those places: Krabi, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Tao, Ko Sumeit or Phuket.

I spent New Year on Koh Phi Phi in 2007/2008 - a great experience! We were on the beach was very relaxing. By relaxing I mean, you can sip cocktails and listen to the waves with reggae music in the background.

To answer your question if you are looking for quiet, your best bet is almost everywhere except Phuket. Phuket mucho horny Americans, Australians, Britons and the inhabitants Raising Hell all night. Krabi is probably a 6 on a scale of 10, 10 being the highest. I have no idea about the salsa clubs there.
