Lake District Accommodation

I try to go to the Lake District for a long weekend with my boyfriend in June and was just wondering if anyone has any tips for cheap accommodation or neglected? Want to be close to Windermere, but not desperate. Tired of trawling through endless sites looking for a bargain!

we have been looking in the same, the problem is that this is an area torist high, and prices skyrocket this time of year. your only option would be a cheap hostel or a tent.

we went to a village near windmere and we stayed in a cottage called little bow she was beautiful
