Lake House Vacation Rentals

Has anyone stayed in a vacation rental (house!) on Lake Travis in Austin, TX? The lake is huge and we are looking for a place at the lake with an area of great beach, not a deposit limit of depth - our children are not good swimmers. Thank you in advance!

I live in Lago Vista, which is on the north shore of Lake Travis. You can find good deals anywhere around the lake though. If you're looking for cheap (er) stay away from Lakeway. While the lake will have many price levels. Here at Lago ago beacy condos called the island ". We are a bit away from entertainment and restaurants (about 15 min) but it's beautiful here. If you come over this way, be sure to consult a cafe called "Latte Vista." It's fantastic and picturesque.
