Question on Las Vegas Strip.? http://www.destination360.com/north-amer ...
I was asked to take a look at this map and list the name of the hotel which is located opposite the Planet Hollywood hotel.
"I said it was the Hotel Monte Carlo. apparently they say it is not correct. suggestions?
Then I was asked to name two hotels on either side of New York New York. (One on the left and right)
- I have listed the MGM Grand and Orleans .. It also said it was wrong. I see something different here?
Look at this map of the strip
http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/con ...
The hotel just opposite Bellagio and PH is the city center.
To the left of NYNY and Excalibur is right is Monte Carlo and part of downtown.
The map you have is not very accurate. The map I have provided is accurate. The Orleans is actually far behind NYNY on West Tropicana. Looking at this map of the false perspective.
Absolutely Bellagio is across the street from Plantet Hollywood and Paris, Bally's. I know for sure because I stay there.
NYNY is between the Excalibur and Monte Carlo.
The Orleans is on the northwest corner of Tropicana Avenue and Arville West Road.
I have no problem with the card. you can read North / South and the long line is the band. Jump to another site like Google Maps or Yahoo and you will see a better picture.
Orleans is 1.5 miles off the strip.
The problem is that the map does not show the correct dimensions. That's because Ballys, Paris and Planet Hollywood are jammed close together. I have been both numerous and Vegas can tell you with certainty that Ballys and Paris are directly across from Bellagio. And if / when you go out in Paris and across the street at the corner of the cross walk, you get to the escalator that takes you to a gateway to enter Bellagio.
But if you walk further south, about 100 feet or if you go right into the Planet Hollywood store and casino. All this is almost opposite of what was the Jockey Club and the Jockey Club is to be engulfed by the new downtown. Thus, Planet Hollywood is located opposite the new city center.
This map gives a better presentation of these hotels: http://www.goingtovegas.com/kpv-lvst.htm
New York, NY hotel is located at the corner of the Strip and Tropicana Avenue. On its south side, on the same side of the band, but across the street is the Hotel Excalibur. On its north side, on the same side of the street is Monte Carlo. Opposite him on the east corner to MGM. The other corner is the Tropicana.
There is currently no hotel directly across from the PH. City Center is under construction. PH is in the street between Bellagio and Monte Carlo (www.vegas.com check)
You will see all the casinos. BTW Orleans is not on the Strip
MGM is in front of New York, New York. In front of Planet Hollywood is the Monte Carlo
