Helen Georgia is a lovely town and a perfect holiday destination popular small Georgia. But few people know what the Georgians, it has two fantastic places for bass fishing and crappie, bream, and catfish.

If you ever get a chance to visit this enchanted city little, you will quickly see its popularity for trout fishing. Now do not get me wrong, the trout fishing is excellent with beautiful well-stocked trout water line. The Chattahoochee River runs directly through the small tourist area about five miles, the width of the river, it is good for fly fishing, forest cover along the river is great for shade, and the average depth of River make it easy to Wade.

I fished for trout here for many years, until I came across two points for excellent bass fishing.

One of the best places in the park is Unicoi State. It is a brilliant deep mountain lakes in Unicoi virgin sizeable called Smith Lake Park. There were largemouth bass released by eighteen pounds and 12 pounds is a bit unusual.

I saw a catfish twenty-two book based on Smith Lake, and a few stringers full of big crappie. There are several nice docks around the lake where visitors can fish, but know that the entire park charges a small parking lot.

There is a very nice docking station back in the nest area camping squirrels that spans sixty feet deep water, and you can hang a lantern in there and fish all night for crappie, and catfish.

Beyond simply excellent bass fishing here, the view relax any weary soul, and camping is excellent.

The second, which is not as big or as pristine lake is the site of Sleepy Hollow a few minutes from the main shopping area of Helen, Ga. people Few people know about this place, I just jump on it by accident. In fact, even if you drive into the camping area, you will not see campgrounds mountain lake. You have to drive or walk a mile on a dirt road from the main camping area for access.

This lake as far as I know, has no name, but it's probably on a mountain lake very own fifteen acres. This lake is rarely fished, in fact I'm sitting there, even during the late spring every day, and did not see anyone there fishing.

I camp camping Sleepy Hollow mainly because this lake is where I always catch a lot of nice bass usually in the range of four to eight pounds. Campground Sleepy Hollow is also a great place to camp.

The site is owned and operated by an elderly couple that is always warm and friendly. The atmosphere of camping together, it's like being on a mountain farm with tons of great wide open spaces to identify many wild animals.

So if you're lucky enough to visit Helen, Georgia, and you are an avid fisherman bass, will take advantage of these two spots ideal for bass fishing. If you are a fishing enthusiast, Helen Ga. between excellent trout fishing, and these two low spots you will probably find you keep coming back again and again. I have personally been fishing around the small mountain village of Alpine Helen Georgia, more than five years and almost never get enough of it.
