I need a footprint for my tent Mountain Hardwear.? I have a Mountain Hardwear Muir Trail tent. It's something like 5 years but in very good condition.
The carpet is a bit thin and I want to back it up with an extra layer under the tent - like fingerprints tents MH others.
Does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of a footprint for my tent (in the United Kingdom, if possible, although would consider elsewhere if shipping was easy).
I do not really want to have to get a tarp and cut it to fit as it will not be as easy to use.

unsure about a specific geoundsheet Im your tent, have you tried the site Mountain Hardware? Although I think they used one.
You could piych your tent - not the fly - just inside, then put a pin next to each corner and tie string around them. Take your tent and you'll end up with the shape of the mats. You can measure it and get a generic undergroundsheet you.
Your other alternative is what you suggested and get a tapaulin Thet and cut the shape (this could cost the same as a specially designed)
seems mountain equipment is not longer than the footprint, and with the product that the old REI probably will not either. My advice is to go to a hardware store to buy a piece of Tyvek and set up a tent over him trace the outline or use the stick method of string / Tyvek and cut just smaller than the size of tent (relative assist in the formation of puddles). Tyvek is usually lighter footsteps of the plant, then a light bouquet and tarpaulins, and then regularly. A footprint of the tent may be great for protecting your tent floor with sticks and stones you have not picked up before pitching the tent, but a lot of wear on the ground comes from the dirt inside bearing the word .. also, if what you want is the leak, I highly recommend you get a sheet of plastic in a store building materials, the cut is 3 to 4 inches larger than the dimensions ground to the Inside the tent and put it inside .... you will not get wet even in the worst rain and inside the soil will be protected.
