New Braunfels Hotels

My friends and I want to go river tubing in the summer. What is the best river to go on? We also want to stay in a hotel on the river, but for a reasonable price. What is the best of hotels? We just want a night. I thought about eating at the mill .. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (:

There are a ton of bed and breakfast establishments in Gruene, where you will be directed Anyway, if you want to eat at the Gristmill (which is a great place to eat). However, you will not really find any "reasonable" prices in Gruene! Most hotels Riverside / motels will be quite expensive this time of year, I'm afraid. Your best bet would be to find a place out of the River. New Braunfels is not THAT big ... Most hotels are within five minutes drive from the River.

Addendum: There was extensive flooding in New Braunfels, yesterday, so the river can still be dangerous for the tube. Many outfitters tubes were destroyed by flooding ... ask the hotel for information before booking!
