On February 5, 2010, I want to go to Chidambaram. (TN), Annamalai University.

I'm from and my Trivendrum train reaching the station at 01:30 Trichy.

Trichy how do I go to Chidambaram. In the morning, what time I'll take the bus to Chidambaram or a place nearby?
Are there any cheap hotel accommodation is available?, I want to stay four days there.

Nothing to fear. The station of Trichy, Trichy bus stand is 5 minutes walk away. Ask the locals for walking away. In standby mode, Trichy central bus, you will probably direct bus to Chidambaram. I guess for 24 hours. If you can not directly buy Chidambaram, then you can go to Tanjavur (Tanjoor) and from there you can take a bus to Chidambaram. By bus, it may take about 3-4 hours of Trichy. Many buses are available.

On the other hand, there are trains available from Trichy to Chidambaram. You can ask the station Trichy.

Chidambaram, the university is about 4 kms Annamalai Nagar. You also have many buses there.

There are plenty of decent hotels available in Chidambaram. Most of them are in the temple.

Take Gruvayur Anantapur Chennai Exp or Express from Trivandrum to Virudachalam. The two trains arrive at times decent compared to 1:30 in Trichy. Chidambaram is only 50 kms away. There are frequent bus services between Virudachalam and Chidambaram.

Grand Hotel Palace is the best option, can walk to the AU. Another option is Sharadha Ram just opposite the bus stop.

As and when you arrive at Trichy in the early morning hours that day, you can find buses to Chidambaram, who is 1 1 / 2 hour journey from Trichy. You can find lots of boxes in front of the station Chidambaram to stay.
