My best friend from England and I want t show hime the outdoors of WA, a large group of us want to go camping around Perth! Perhaps on a drive of 4-5 hours straight? Where's a really beautiful place, where a group of hikers can have a good time and seeing beautiful things?

My brother and his wife go Dweloingup and they love it there. it is a bit in the middle of nowhere though - ie no shops / pubs close, etc..

Your other option is to head south to Margaret River and surrounding areas. You do not know what you know about the area, but looking at their page of Tourism and you will discover a multitude of places to say and plenty to see and do. Only problem now is the time over there! Maybe a little on the cold side and wet!

If you want to go north, head of Moore River. Again, not a huge amount to do, but it ia nice little spot. Or Jurien Bay. Or Dongara. Greenough Rover. Geraldton if you want a larger city. Kalbarri - but perhaps heading a bit far for you.

Anywhere along the Bibbulmun track (from Mundaring to Albany) will lead you through the beautiful bush, if you enjoy walking. There are campsites along the length of the runway, including rainwater tanks and huts to sleep in along with picnic tables and fireplaces. If that's too energetic for you, then there are some areas beautiful camping in the woods around the state Dwellingup.

Hello, I work in a nursing home within an hour's drive south of Perth, and it is for tourists like yourself to come and get free brochures and talk over ideas of where you want to go and stay. Do you have a car? you'll need to get to places you want to go. as someone has already said there Dwellingup, but it can get very busy and noisy, there is a charge fixed fee to the park to go camping there. It is also Herron Point which is excellent for camping and fishing, there are lots of places. If you live in Perth Forrest Place is off the WA Visitor Centre there. come and see the staff there and talk to them there and take some brochures to take home to watch. There is also a brochure on fees for parks and other places where you want to go

We went to Lake Leschaunaltia in January and camped there. Only an hour from Perth and fantastic.

We stayed on a site powered ($ 7 per night per person). There is a block abloution, freshwater, shop, playground and a large lake for swimming.

Also, just down the road there is a small supermarket, butcher and a liquor store.

Would totally recommend and we will ourselves to return.
