Sea Colony

I read this book several years ago - and I think he was quite old then. He told the story of a colony of sea eagles in Norway and culture and to break with a bird in particular. Sleat? Skye? And also ran alongside the story of a boy growing up and getting to know each other in the post-war Britain. Sorry the details are very sketchy, but I'd be able to track this book down. Any help would be gratefully received.

The book is called The Stonor Eagles. I hope the spelling is correct.
I do not remember the name of the author, but I guess you already know that this is a wonderful book and I think three themes. There is the struggle for survival of eagles, the boy who grew up and when he grows up and becomes an artist's representation of the eagle. There is so much more to the story and I recommend it to anyone who respects nature and humanity of ordinary people.
