Has anyone seen in the media? Maybe I missed it, but I have not seen any report on this global warming prediction sloppy in the mainstream media here in the U.S. .........
"Climate change threatens Alpine ski resorts

Alpine skiing and snowboarding can be under greater threat from climate change than scientists ever thought, a new study.
In recent years, the amount that fell was 60 percent lower than was typical in the early 1980s, said Christoph Marty, the Swiss Federal Institute of Snow and Avalanche Research in Davos, which has analyzed records.
"I do not think we will see the kind of snow conditions we have experienced in recent decades," he said.

If you ski in the snow-heavy in Europe during the holidays, the avalanche danger will remain high and you should take extra precautions. Never consider leaving marked trails without a qualified local guide. "

They say they can predict the climate for decades into the future, but could not get the right only 7 months?
I really think that NASA, NOAA, GISS and the IPCC should subcontract to The Almanac of farmers for their predictions. They are wrong 100% of the time and gets right Almanac of over 80% of the time.
Do not confuse climate and weather, that reporters clearly. On average, there may be less annual snowfall over long periods, but from year to year, you'll still have good years and bad years. As climate change progresses, you may be able to expect a lower frequency of good years, but nobody knows exactly how much snow there will in any season.
It is very difficult to model systems in the future, and some interactions with climate variability and small scale are still very uncertain. We know that global trends, but for most, can not say how much, or how the climate of a part of the world will change.
Sorry but I do not get my science information from the mainstream media. Maybe you should not either.
Yes! I read about it that I am an avid skier. I skied Whistler, British Columbia in recent years and they have snow record. Duality at its best!
Things like this, with the storms of nature once unknown to us will eventually make us afraid to save the environment. Faithfully, it will not be too late.
